Online Dating Blogs? August 15, 2008

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 4:09 am

The world of dating has gotten out of hand. They have allowed for women to give us guys seven minutes to win them over in what they call “speed dating”. So much for foreplay. I mean seriously, whatever happened to the wine me, dine me days of dating.

You would be able to meet a nice girl on line at a grocery store, say something kind of witty then entice the girl to gladly exchange phone numbers. After a couple of phone calls and the getting to know you are not a psycho stage you could then work up to inviting this nice young lady to dinner. All this has changed. Now instead of exchanging phone numbers it becomes “Are you on online?”

At first I was like how impersonal, you would rather stare at my hot pics online then see me in the flesh??? You would rather send me e-mail at 2 O’clock in the morning than be enjoying cocktails and conversation at the local bar??? What has the world of dating become?

It has become an online dating world. You are actually more likely to meet someone interested in dating on the computer than at the convenience store. This does not mean that you have to go to an online dating service and pay tons of membership fees to pick up ladies but these services almost always guarantee a hook up. You can go the route of the free networking sites but there are no sure things.

Out of my own personal experience the first connection I made in the online dating world was with one of these paid services. I made a profile, and let the women seek me out. This cute Latino girl e-mailed me. I messaged her back, we met, had dinner and some laughs.

It was a home run. Not bad to bat 1.000 as a rookie. I did find though, people solely looking to date through these paid online dating services were really looking for a “serious commitment.

Think about it, if a girl is going to throw down some money to meet someone, it is not because they want to select their next booty call, they want Prince Charming, The White Wedding and they want to live happily ever after. I personally did not want that kind of pressure or expectations, as I do not like to break hearts so I found a different route.

I signed up for an account at one of the major blog networks. They may as well be called “Dating Blogs”. Not only do you have a great opportunity to meet nice lovely ladies of all races, shapes and sizes but you can do so without having to spend any money. You can browse through all the profiles of ladies meeting your specified search criteria in a radius close to home.

After narrowing down your search you can check out their page which allows the girls to create some pretty interesting sites with music, pictures and all different types of “spirit”. Here the girls will make you earn their acquaintance but I find that they also are more down to earth. While I haven’t hooked- up with any of these girls, I have made some good friends that have potential.

While the initial introduction might have moved from meeting a nice girl on line at the supermarket to meeting the girl of your dreams online at the “Super Meat Market of Dating” at least the stores in cyber space never close and you can do your “shopping” from home. While there were several pros and con to each type of online service, remember the goal is for the actual date, or is it?

Is Religion Holding Back Mankind in Knowing His Place in the Animal Hierarchy? August 12, 2008

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 5:27 pm

Most humans believe mankind is special and unique among Earth Species. Yet, if you look closely humans are similar in almost every regard to animals in fact humans are merely at the top of the scale of higher order mammals in the animal category or classification. At least one researcher wants to put this issue behind us once and for all by doing scientific experimentation to prove Humans are unique or not?

This project and new research experiment was tentatively and unofficially announced in an online think tank recently. And the lead and principal investigator stated that:

“But this is a difficult scenario to resolve since we are taking into considering an academic classification, which may vary as such between communities and this would have a significant impact on the experiment.”

Indeed, well then use their [academic] definitions then? But if Academia has “lied” to the them selves previous due to alignment with the Catholic Church or any religion if not all of them for instance then following that lie and using those definitions to continue to appease such religious notions is not science, remember the world is not flat.

So if the scientists cannot get their act together to be honest with definitions [usually] then creating new definitions which better fit the reality is in the name of [true] science and indeed the best for all concerned and needs to be done for the betterment of humankind.

This of course irregardless if they [the masses, religious followings] go along kicking and screaming about the findings. As “truth crushed to the ground shall rise again” no matter if you cut down the your hypothetical tree of knowledge to the proverbial roots, where you plan on starting your research, you see. And that is what I think of that. What do you think of it? Consider this in 2006.

A Nice Garden Deserves a Nice Outdoor Gazebo August 11, 2008

Outdoor Gazebos are just beautiful, simple as that. We watch them in the movies, on artistic photos, on magazines, on parks, on private gardens and it is a good idea to have your own. Nothing can enhance a garden or a backyard like a gazebo, as they look classy, fancy and people love them. Your family will enjoy it, and so your guests, while the neighbors will admire your choice. Getting a gazebo is a “win win” situation and you will hardly regret it, especially when summer comes and you will be enjoying a wonderful drink.

An outdoor gazebo can literally be a living room outside the house, in the middle of your backyard, preserving the comfort of your home and yet adding fresh air and the advantages of being out. Gazebos have been used for centuries and they will continue to be present in our lives, because they make sense and they are a gorgeous thing to have. They are more than just a decorative item, they are an extension of the house and they reflect the style and creativity of the homeowners, this is why a careful choice is always advisable, as a gazebo says a lot more than people think.

Is There Really Any Hope ?

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 11:31 am

In examining the correlation between the mind and your health I came across some information pertaining to some tests done on a woman with split personalities. The thing that struck me so profoundly was the testing of the woman was different when she was of one of the two personalities. You see the woman would test positive for diabetes when her mind had her as one personality and then test negative of diabetes as the other personality. Proving how powerful the mind really is. The realization of this leads to the question, how can I control my mind to make me a healthier and happier human being?

There have been many documented positive effects on people do to a “placebo response” to a certain drugs or procedure. Many scientists are researching just how powerful our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and emotions can be and how they affect our health and wellbeing.

So what role does the power of the mind play in our health and in our lives? Why is it that some people survive from the same diagnosed disease and others suffer and die? One emotion, Hope has played a role in healing for centuries. How does hope and the attitude of certain individuals actually become the medicine needed to help there immune systems cure them of these deadly diseases. Why is it that a doctor cannot prescribe hope and tell us that although the diagnostics may be bad that along with some medication, a change in certain habits and an extra dose of “hope” and positive attitude your body can cure itself? Well the reason why a doctor or anybody else cannot prescribe hope is that it is something that cannot be measured. It is also not a pill that can be taken. But many, including the medical industry, know that there is something to it. In the past few years researchers have begun to examine how hope, as a function of the mind, plays in the recovery of the human body. They have looked into the biochemical reaction between the brain and the body. There has been research done at the National Institute of Health and Georgetown University on how emotions bridge the gap between mind and matter within our bodies. They describe this communication system as the psychosomatic network. The psychological and chemical mechanisms within our body which controls the neuronal, hormonal and immune system all use the same neuropeptides to communicate. Since they all use this system to communicate the crosstalk on these systems affects each other. If hope is the emotions being transferred over these neuronal pathways, can it actually affect and improve the communication and ability of these other systems to perform better and lead to curing a person?

Studies have shown that the immune systems cells loose their ability to fight off disease in people who are helpless or hopeless. And that hope actually boosts the immune systems function.

When fighting a disease or poor health one should realize that hope and the power of the mind does actually play a part in the body curing itself. Also people with hope usually have more energy which will also help your immune system and give you the strength to enjoy your day.

Many people derive hope from God or from their spiritual source, others from family and friends and others by setting a goal and attaining it. Even though a situation may be difficult the knowing that hope and your mind can play a part in it could be just the source you need to give you the extra strength to cure your disease.

The best way to avoid disease and live a healthy life is prevention.

Corporate Logos August 9, 2008

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 5:59 am

Logos are symbols or patterns that are generally used to represent companies or brands. Logo is derived from the Greek word logos, which means word. In modern times, logos represent images of a company or a product brand.

Corporate logos are those that are used by companies and corporations. Corporate logos should ideally represent what the company stands for. It should be unique enough to differentiate from other companies’ logos, yet special enough to be remembered by the customers.

Corporate logos can be of many kinds, including: combination (icon and text); logotype/wordmark/lettermark (text or abbreviated text) and icon (symbol / brandmark). A corporate logo can contain just symbols, or both words and symbols. It may or may not contain the company’s name, but having the company’s name is an advantage. Some logos have just a part of the company’s name or just one letter, for example Y!(Yahoo!) or FedEx (Federal Express).

Corporate logos should be functional, effective regardless of the size and attractive regardless of the color. They should also represent the brand/company image well. Logo artists should abide by the basic design principles of color, space, form, clarity and consistency while designing logos. It is advisable to use as few colors as possible, or use spot colors. The use of gradients for distinguishing is also not desirable. Vector graphics is one technology that can be effectively used for logo designing.

Designers should be aware of copyrights and trademarks, and should be very careful not to copy any other logo. Using a person’s face, clip-art, third-party fonts, imagery or photographs, and culturally suggestive imagery should be avoided as much as possible. The use of too many effects like shadows, glares, embossing and photo imagery is also not recommended. The logo should also be flexible enough to retain its shape when printed on certain materials that tend to crease or fold. Colors and patterns are also important. Some colors like purple, blue, black, white and red are considered to be professional. Block designs can be used for larger products like machinery or trucks, while delicate fonts can be used for smaller products.

There are many professional designers of logos. An expert would be able to consider all aspects of designing the logo. They would also look at the copyright issues. Prices vary extensively, and there are designers who charge as much as $500 for a logo. There are special software programs that allow you to design logos. There are available from $30 onwards. The internal publicity department within the company can also design corporate logos

Swimwear Closeouts – Don’t Miss It August 8, 2008

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 4:23 am

The end of summer is once again here and there isn’t much to smile about. It does mark the beginning of the best swimwear sales, though. This short lived season will bring sunny days at least for a few weeks.

Designer swimwear specials need to be taken advantage of. Whether you shop online, out of a catalog, or in the good old-fashioned mall, you won’t find any shortage of cute swimsuits at very low prices.

There are some risks to shopping late in the season, even if the deals are good. It is important to pick the swimsuit that can also be worn next season. Here are some good ideas to choosing bikinis and one-piece suits that won’t become outdated:

  • Solid colors. Although prints and patterns are trendy, they are exactly that. Who knows what next summer will be. Just use common sense.
  • Eight colors. The original eight. Pastels were cool for a couple of years in the eighties, and then they disappeared. The Crayola eight will be stylish next year.
  • Stick to the basics. Once again, stay away from the current fads. They will change. Unless you want to be the only one on the beach with a slingshot.
  • Trust the best. Top designers have a knack for creating styles with staying power. Now you can afford them.
  • Buy from the designer. They will have the most updated selections and there won’t be any sifting to find the right size top to match those cute bikini bottoms

There are some exceptions to the rules, only keep in mind the consequences of bikini obsolescence. If you are planning a winter vacation to the tropics, feel free to pick the suit of your choice. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Taking advantage of these great discounted times will make next summer even better. You’ll get compliments on your great style, just don’t tell them the suits were cheap. While you’re shopping the deals in swimwear, don’t forget about the cool accessories like wraps, towels, hats, and beach bags.

7 Ways to Scare Women Away, 4 Tips to Attract Them

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 1:07 am

Sometimes you may see a beautiful woman with a complete loser who doesnt know what to talk, how to act or even treat her as a fragile flower. You think, why this hot attractive woman is with this rude and ugly dork. The answer is that this guy knows something that you don’t know. He probably has the characteristics of “the alpha man” who knows how to go and get the woman, not wait for the woman to give attraction singles back to him.

Women are complicated creatures. From the moment they have met you, till the day you pass away, they will test you with their skills from birth and you may even never realize it. So what must you do to build attraction with women or how not to destroy the chances. Here are some easy steps to scare hot women away:

1- Fire compliments on her from the first day you’ve met her and try to attract her with your kind words.

2- Buy roses, flowers or gifts as many times as possible to touch her feelings.

3- Dont take your time and open up your heart as early as possible, in fact it’s better if you can tell her how much you love her at your first date.

4- Make her the center of your life and show that you cannot live without her.

5- Write love letters with great romantic words, show how romantic you are and how special she is to you.

6- Call her more than 3 times a day and let her hang up the phone or finish the conversation first.

7- Take her to your parents for a special dinner.

If you look into those tips, some of them may seem like great ideas to attract women but in fact it’s a direct highway to another miserable failure with women.

So what should you do to get the woman, you want? You must have some characteristics of “the alpha man” and start to make things work for you. So who is “the alpha man”? What are his characteristics?

Alpha man is the man who knows rejection is a possibility but who also knows that his chances are 70% higher than other guys, these guys who dont know what to do for creating attraction in her. He has 4 main characteristics which triggers attraction that 80% of other men lack. So what are these:

1- Self-Confidence: Not pretending to have self confidence, the actual self confidence to believe that he is the prize to be won by her, not the other way around.

2- Mystery: Letting her know less than she wants to know in the first dates and never letting her know everything about him. Always creating questions in her mind.

3- Sense of humour: Knowing when and how to make her laugh. Believe it or not, making her laugh is the most important tip that you must never forget.

Do you know why? Because a small laughter

  • increases blood pressure
  • increases the heartbeat rate
  • reduces levels of certain neurochemicals (catecholamines, hormones)
  • provides a boost to the immune system.

4- Naughty boy vs. Serious guy: The naughty boy characteristic in an “the alpha man” creates attraction with teasing and sometimes making fun of this hot girl that every other man is scared of. He knows when to stop or switch to a serious talk and although he teases the woman, he is never arrogant or rude. That type of man is very hard to be tested by women and therefore it’s a challenge which will easily create the basic bits of attraction.

So the point is believing old cliche words like: “this woman is out of my league” leads to definite failure. Understanding the hero and skills inside you will not only make you feel better and may create “the alpha man” inside you unawaringly and maximizes your chances. Even if you are not successful at first, you’ll not feel the disappointment of rejection as there will always be other chances for the new you…

There are also open source screen readers, such as the Linux Screen Reader for GNOME and NonVisual Desktop Access for Windows.

The open source GNOME desktop environment long included Gnopernicus and now includes Orca. Web browsers, word processors, icons and windows and email programs are just some of the applications used successfully by screen reader users. Indeed functionality remains limited compared to equivalent desktop applications, the major benefit is to increase the accessibility of said websites. Screen readers can be assumed to be able to access all display content that is not intrinsically inaccessible.

Most legally blind people 66 percent do not use computers. The latter developed in part by Knopper who has a visual impairment. A screen reader is a software application that attempts to identify and interpret what is being displayed on the screen. Further, using a screen reader is, according to some users, considerably more difficult than using a GUI and many applications have specific problems resulting from the nature of the application. Linux distributions for the blind include Oralux and Adriane Knoppix. Screen reader choice is contentious: differing priorities and strong preferences are common. Later versions of Microsoft Windows include an Accessibility Wizard and Magnifier for those with partial vision, and Microsoft Narrator, a simple screen reader. The primary audience for such applications is those who have difficulty reading because of learning disabilities or language barriers. The Macintosh OS also comes with a built-in screen reader, called VoiceOver. More and more, screen readers are being bundled with operating system distributions. This interpretation is then represented to the user with text-to-speech, sound icons, or a braille output. Recent versions of Microsoft Windows come with the rather basic Narrator. The console-based Oralux Linux distribution ships with three screen-reading environments: Emacspeak, Yasr and Speakup. The rest have some vision, from light perception alone to relatively good acuity. Access technology such as screen readers and Screen magnifiers enable the blind to use mainstream computer applications. The movement towards greater web accessibility is opening a far wider number of websites to adaptive technology, making the web a more inviting place for visually impaired surfers. Next season medical volunteer Anthony Loeff is testing software applications for people who are blind Approximately 10 percent of those deemed legally blind, by any measure, have no vision. Only a small fraction of this population, when compared to the sighted community, have Internet access.

While Apple Mac OS X includes VoiceOver, a more feature-rich screen reader.

Experimental approaches in sensory substitution are beginning to provide access to arbitrary live views from a camera.

Screen readers are a form of assistive technology potentially useful to people who are blind, visually impaired, or learning disabled, often in combination with other AT such as screen magnifiers. A persons choice of screen reader is dictated by many factors, including platform and the role of organizations like charities, schools, and employers.

MLM Training – Five Success Factors That Make Warm-Market Prospecting Easier

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 8:19 am

Forget for a second that you’re in network marketing. What if you were starting any other kind of business like a retail store, a salon, or a construction company. Where would you get your customers? Your employees? How about business partners? Where would you find them?

In one or more of those categories a friend, acquaintance or family member might be the right fit, maybe not. Maybe they know the right fit. Somehow it always works itself back to an acquaintance, a recommendation or a referral. This is called your “warm market.”

Life seems to be a series of experiences brought on by connections to other people. Your job as a Networker is to connect the bridges together and move past the disinterested in a professional and honest way, without “pushing.” Most all businesses begin this way.

Your warm market can be one of the greatest resources to your MLM business. Dealing with family and friends can be a blessing or a curse, but if you want your family and friends to continue to respect you, give you referrals, be your customer, and possibly say “yes” to your presentation, I recommend you follow these five rules to working with your warm market:

Rule #1 – Hold your tongue. Don’t ever insult someone for his or her decision not to participate with you in your business. Don’t tell someone they’re stupid for not doing business with you, even if it is the way you “talk to your brother.” It’s unprofessional and out of place.

Rule #2 – Be wise. “No” rarely means no. That same brother in three weeks or three years could lose his job. If you’ve made a fool out of yourself, not only will he not do the business, he will beat you to all of your friends and tell them about the “scam” you’re in. All of this because “you told him” how stupid he was. That’s not wise.

Rule #3 – Deal with it. For 10 years I’ve dealt with objections, concerns, past failures, bad experiences, etc, which have all taught me how to successfully handle these issues. The good news is that all of these objections are resolved and discussed in the “Brilliant Compensation” presentation. Just as an experienced dentist knows that treating teeth is the easy part and the hard part is dealing with the patient’s “baggage”… like the time the “other” dentist stuck a six-foot needle in their gum when they were 14 years old. “Dealing” with these issues is what “wins” the patient. Once the trust is established you’ve got them for life or until you decide to stop servicing their needs.

Rule #4 – Yes or No. Some prospects just take one conversation to be won and some prospects take 10 conversations. (Nine of those conversations resulted in a “No” answer even though “No” was never stated.) If you take the thought process as being that either the prospect says “Yes” or “No,” then you’ll miss the art of communication and networking.

Suppose your company has 20 products. If your prospect says “No,” find out what they are saying “No” to. Are they saying “No” to all 20 products? Are they saying “No” to “I don’t want to diversify my income?” No to “I don’t know anyone who needs or wants any of your 20 products?” That’s a lot to say “No” to. I recommend that you find out exactly what your prospects are truly saying “No” to.

Rule #5 – Don’t be a bug. Do not ever “bug” family and friends about your company. Sometimes Networkers get extremely focused, which is good, and it should never be suppressed. Focus is what creates “eliteness.” Just be disciplined as to what and who deserves that focus. If it’s a friend or family member who clearly isn’t interested, quit wasting time there and go get in front of people who do want this.

And there you have it – five rules to follow when working with your friends and family.

Much respect and admiration to you,

Weight Loss Checklist August 1, 2008

Filed under: Great Travel Tips @ 9:50 am

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were some miracle pill that could help us shed unwanted pounds without lifting a finger or adjusting how many calories we consume or increasing our activity level? Wouldn’t it be great if you were the inventor of this magical pill that could make us/keep us thin? Well, don’t dream about this for too long because, unfortunately, it’s not going to happen. For permanent weight loss, you will have to change your lifestyle and eating habits…that’s all there is to it.

Weight loss takes time, work, motivation, and positive thinking. Forget those “Lose 10 pounds in 2 days” weight loss schemes. Oh, they may work in the short term, but how long can one drink only juice and stay alive? Or take a pill and only eat once a day, if at all? Let me tell you: not very long. And guess what? Once you start eating and drinking normally again, those pounds you lost will come right back…quicker than when they came off!

Permanent weight loss takes time. You don’t know how I hated to admit to myself that the following statement is true: “It took time to accumulate the weight, so it will take time to take it off.” I thought it wasn’t true, but it is. If you steadily gained 10 pounds over 6 months, it’s going to take at least 1 to 2 months to get those pounds off. You will also have to invest time in finding the right exercise plan for you and time to determine how you want to eat in order to maximize your weight loss efforts.

To get those pounds off, it will also take work. That’s right: work. By that I mean exercise. Yes, study after study has shown that activity is key to weight loss and keeping the weight from coming back. There’s no getting around it: you will have to exercise if you want optimum results.

To get optimum results, you will also need motivation. You will be surprised at what motivates you. It could be your doctor telling you that you need to lose weight because your blood pressure and/or cholesterol are high. It may be a comment made in passing by a friend or loved one about how you have “let yourself go.” It may be those clothes in your closet that you haven’t worn in years that are beckoning to you, screaming out to you to please wear them again soon! Whatever your motiviation is…do whatever it takes to keep it in your mind at all times. Put a picture of yourself from your thinner and healthier days up on your frig or on your mirror. Write about your weight loss journey every day in a journal or notebook. Repeat your goals to yourself at least three times a day. Find a weight loss buddy. Whatever it takes to keep you motivated, do it!

Another important key to permanent weight loss is positive thinking. In addition to changing your eating and activity habits, it is imperative to change the way you think. You cannot let negative thinking get in the way of your goal…a thinner, healthier you.

So the weight loss checklist includes:

Time

Work

Motivation

Positive Thinking

These 4 things are key in reaching your weight loss goal.
