Canadian Dedicated Hosting Server Provider Provides Free KVM over IP Option to Client November 17, 2009
Canadian managed hosting server provider Gogax is now providing its valued clients total control of their dedicated servers.
According to the press release, Gogax is providing video, keyboard and mouse over internet protocol (IP) technology. This makes the servers accessible at any time without having to plyg in external KVM over IP hardware manually. This development was announced on Tuesday.
Gogax stated that the option does not obligate the customer to shell out more money since they are giving this additional service free of charge through its regular server offerings. A permanent KVM over IP switch will be installed on the server’s motherboard.
This technology provides the customers the needed remote access to their dedicated servers to install and run applications, reinstall the server’s operating system, troubleshoot the system all the way to the BIOS-level and check out the health status of the server’s internet connection. This gives the users an idea if the connection is not working and needs repair without too much manual work.
Gogax Account Director Eliran Mimran said that this particular solution gives customers 100 percent control over the system and at the same time gives their technical support the ability to provide help through remote connection. This promotes efficiency in the service which is good for the business as a whole due to increasing number of satisfied clients.
