Gearing up for a Colon Detox Program August 12, 2011
Successful colon detox cleansing is essential to any detox plan. Our colon is a key organ associated with your body’s innate detox capabilities. If you don’t move your bowels four times weekly or if you suffer from constipation, don’t plan to begin a detox program unless you have finished a colon detox. Make note that this is extremely important for a detox performed in a safe manner. Programs to remove toxins that are improperly completed can cause injury.
What is the most advisable way to do a colon detox? Transition to an eating plan that contains raw fruit and vegetables, whole grains, and little or no food that is processed. Without obligation, you might consider a colonic to aid in the removal of layers of mucus that has built up on the wall of the colon. Pay attention to these easy steps when you are ready to begin your colon detox:
Three to five days weekly, follow an eating plan that is half fresh fruits and vegetables. Take a probiotic capsule daily and make an attempt to drink almost four liters of water daily. Before bedtime, drink a cup of flax seed tea steeped in a quarter cup of flax seeds that were ground. Additionally take two capsules of cascara sagrada. Before breakfast, dring a cup of hot water to which you’ve added the juice of half of a lemon. The warm water and lemon juice should stimulate the bowel. If not, use a water enema or a glycerine suppository. Aim to move the bowel once daily, at least.
You must be absolutely sure to keep drinking water, not including sugary drinks or sodas. You can create even more congestion in your colon if you don’t drink enough water to stay hydrated when ingesting psyllium or flax seeds.
